Arrowhead Winch is excited to introduce the new CARCO H40B and H50B tractor tail winches, expanding its lineup of hydraulic winching solutions engineered for demanding dozer applications. Designed for use across construction, pipeline, forestry and fire management, these new models deliver exceptional pulling power, improved machine compatibility, and enhanced operator control.

The H40B and H50B are full-feature winches compatible with open loop (Ripper/Auxiliary) and closed loop (Hystat) hydraulic systems. This flexibility enables equipment manufacturers and dealers to integrate the winches across a broader range of small dozers (up to 35,000 lb operating weight) where suitable high-performance options have historically been limited.

Both models incorporate a high-efficiency three-stage axial planetary gearset to deliver rated line pulls of 40,000 and 50,000 pounds, providing the controlled pulling force required for severe-duty operations. Standard features include power reel-in and reel-out, electro-hydraulically actuated low drag freespool and full speed driveaway functions, and variable speed control using an axial piston motor with low-speed lock for precise load handling.

Electronic controls allow for improved operator precision, while a spring-applied, hydraulically released brake enhances safety in demanding environments. A 10-inch drum accommodates multiple rope sizes, offering application flexibility across industries and terrain conditions.

The winches are engineered with field serviceability in mind. Multiple maintenance access doors simplify inspections and repairs, while replaceable iron wear bars help reduce long-term ownership costs. Fully guarded motor and hydraulic components provide added protection in debris-heavy environments.

A range of integrated accessories further expands the winches’ versatility. Standard and extended drawbars accommodate different attachment requirements, while optional fairlead assemblies and log arch configurations support forestry and land management applications. Additional features such as transportation tie-downs and protective guarding contribute to safer handling and operation throughout the equipment lifecycle.

Preorders for the H40B and H50B are now open, with production priority beginning in April 2026 and deliveries scheduled to begin in June 2026.
